Celebration Dinner for CoKF Scholars

A sumptuous three course dinner was the culmination of our Two Week College Application Workshop. After a period of two week intense workshop, Children of Kibera Foundation scholars, Staff and board members had the opportunity to unwind at a dinner party held at the Ngong Hills Hotel. From their beaming smiles, their hearty chats and of course their dressing, our scholars were out to have fun!
The evening started off with low toned ‘table conversations’ a neighbour got down to know a neighbour at a more personal level, dreams and ambitions were shared, salient tips were given, life experiences were shared. It was a special bonding session.
Then the time came, people ate!
As it was a day to enjoy, our speakers: Carrie Atkin (Board Member), Ken Okoth (Founder), Curtis Ronney (Board Chairman) and Charles (Art Teacher-St Aloysius Gonzaga) kept it short and sweet. The take away message was: we are smart, beautiful and important.
To our Workshop facilitators: Carrie, Pete, Curtis, Mittie, Jeff and Seje thanks for your meticulous work, for the workshop broadened our scholars’ horizon of imagination, they now dream even bigger.
The photo shoot session was marvellous!
Time dictated that we leave. No one wanted to. Can’t wait for the next dinner...

This is how I made it...

You too can do it...
