Our Journey with Red Rose School (since 2006)

Our longstanding association with the Red Rose primary school from 2006 is illustrative of our approach to supporting quality primary education in Kibera. We started out by sponsoring three students. At that time, the total enrollment of students stood at 50, there were five classrooms handling grades nursery through 2. Six years of our partnership with the school has seen tremendous growth in virtually all aspects of the school: we have built six more classrooms handling nursery class all through to eighth grade, a computer lab fully installed with 12 computers and a projector serving the student population that now stands at an impressive 170 is now in place. Our student sponsorship has grown from 3 to 50. We have helped establish a library stocked with over 800 books giving our children a wide variety of subjects and topics of interest to quench their intellectual thirst from. The latest project we have undertaken is building the eighth grade classroom and a staffroom.

All these have been made possible through generous gifts from our cherished partners, we will forever be grateful to you for making lasting impact in the lives of children from Kibera.
