"I have just completed my first year at Tufts University and
will now be volunteering in the Children of Kibera Foundation office for the
next six weeks. After spending the last three summers on the high school
service trip, I am very excited to be back and help on several different CoKF
projects such as the 2012 Campaign for our high school scholars and the College
workshop."
Cate Rooney-
"I just graduated from Vanderbilt University and will be
working with CoKF for 10 weeks before returning to Washington DC to begin my
full-time job. I am really excited about getting the opportunity to work in the
Kibera office with other Kenyan interns and staff; I will help facilitate this
year’s college prep workshop.
Living and working in Kibera is a relatively new experience
for me but is one that I am very thankful for."
